  1. You are a reading machine girlie! WOW! I am more of a trendy book reader than a classics reader. Congrats!

  2. What an awesome idea! I think that I just might do this. I love classics, and I think I read some of these in high school, but it would be fun to read them again.

  3. You are sooooo far ahead of me! I've only checked two off my list. I finished Tess of the D'Urbervilles last night - talk about a downer of a book!

  4. Oh my goodness Tess is HIDEOUS. Just HIDEOUS!

As far as being ahead, I will be reading Ulysses FOREVER! I may not finish!! LOL

and I am trying to get time to read The Book Thief, but haven't found any (time) yet ;)

  5. I actually didn't hate Tess quite as much as you. :) I thought it was beautifully written - just very, very sad.

  6. I just couldn't think of it as beautiful in any way. It is very contradictory, the way he describes Tess, and then the way she actually behaves! And to me that ruins the whole book.

It did make me want to work on a dairy farm though ;) hehe

  7. Good for you! I've been wanting to read the classics for several years but just haven't made it a priority.

I need a challenge like this to motivate me!

What's been your favorite so far?

  8. Cranford was my fave, because I just love that genre :)

But I absolutely enjoyed Dune! And the Book Thief, now that I have read it :)
